MLC provides secondary accident insurance coverage for students. Liability insurance coverage, of course, is also in force. Please see the MLC Nurse for help with insurance matters. Please see her as soon as possible after an injury. Waiting too long can nullify insurance benefits.
According to NCAA guidelines, all students participating in intercollegiate athletics must carry major medical insurance. In the case of an accident or injury incurred through intercollegiate athletic participation, the student-athlete’s major medical coverage is primary and the College’s functions as secondary coverage.
