Welcome to the Cultural Engagement Center at Martin Luther College

Diversity Support

The Cultural Engagement Center is a welcoming space for our diverse students where they feel seen, heard, and valued. The CEC staff is here to support and advocate for all of our students of color. We are here to encourage and teach cultural humility through intercultural awareness programs for the entire campus family, to foster a sense of community and mutual respect.

Study Abroad

There are many study abroad options for you while you’re a student at MLC.  Whether you chose a short term faculty led program, or participate in a full semester or summer program abroad through one of our partner providers, you’ll gain a broader global perspective and cultural confidence. Our semester abroad students have studied in Ireland, Greece, and Germany, but the opportunities are worldwide!

Teach Abroad

There are opportunities for all MLC students to teach in international settings.  Our Teach Abroad program seeks to develop and promote experiences in other countries that lead to personal, professional, and spiritual growth. Where can you serve? Opportunities exist in Southeast Asia, St. Lucia, China, Ecuador, Peru, Thailand, South Korea, and more!

International Student Services

Our current international students come from Antigua, Canada, China, Colombia, Ukraine, Vietnam, and South Korea.  Our office assists all international students with the admissions process, orientation, acculturation, and post-graduation decisions.
