We’re pleased to introduce MLC’s new graduate faculty member, Dr. Rachel (Vogt DMLC ’95) Ehlers, who will be teaching Foundations of Special Education. Dr. Ehlers brings to MLC graduate students her extensive education and teaching experience as well as a deep understanding of special education from two perspectives—as a teacher and as a parent.
Even as an upper-level math instructor, Nicole Lehman ’10 sees the need to increase and improve her teaching techniques for students with learning difficulties. That’s what led her to the special education emphasis in MLC’s Master of Science in Education program.

All graduate students must be enrolled in a course to maintain active status. EDU6999 and THE6999 Continued Graduate Studies have been created for students who otherwise do not plan to take a course. This policy change enables MLC to more accurately serve graduate students and track their progress.
