Students are required to complete online activities each year to learn and review key financial topics. Each class level has different topics assigned. Students and advisors can track the progress of assigned activities on Portal (under Grades: Financial Literacy).

First-Year Student Activities:

Financial Review Meetings

Graduating Students

All graduating students are required to meet with the Financial Wellness Coordinator. This meeting will review financial matters pertinent to graduating and transitioning to life after college:
Budgeting
Emergency Fund (at least 3 months of monthly expenses)
Retirement
Taxes
Minister of the Gospel Implications
Loan Repayment
You will receive an email from the Financial Wellness Coordinator to set up your appointment time.

All Students

Any student can request a meeting with the Financial Wellness Coordinator to review financial aid questions, personal finance questions, resume help, or whatever the topic may be.

Group Sessions

First-Year Students

All first-year students are required to attend the Money Management Flex Period. Students will review basic money strategies that will help them make smarter financial decisions. They will also participate in a Kahoot survey to review their money profile.

Juniors

All juniors are required to attend the Basics of Credit Flex Period. Students will review components of a credit score, strategies to improve a credit score, and how to check their personal credit report. They will also participate in a Kahoot quiz to check their credit knowledge.
