Fitness Center Supervisor (Summer 2024)

Candidates should be able to:

  • Supervise the weight room and cardio areas of the Fitness Center
  • Familiarize themselves with and carry out proper safety procedures
  • Be willing to do some light cleaning duties
  • Be or become CPR/AED certified
  • Open and close the Fitness Center properly
  • Be reliable and timely
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Be able to lift 45 pounds
  • Conduct other functions as needed or as directed.
  • Position reports to Fitness Center Manager.

The MLC Fitness Center offers:

  • Free CPR/AED certification if needed
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Training for the position

During the Summer months, the MLC Fitness Center has open hours of :

  • Sunday: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Monday through Friday: Either 5:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.;  and  6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Employment start/stop dates: May 18, 2024 – August 25, 2024
Minimum age for employment: Individual must be 16 years of age but some tasks may require 18 years of age.
Working hours and days: Generally Monday through Sunday; hours will vary, generally 6 to 9 hours per week. Looking for workers for weekdays, weekends or both. Flexible scheduling. Workers may work up to 129 hours per month, which averages to approximately 29 hours per week.

Salary: $11.85 per hour, $12.85 per hour for Lead
Available positions: 2-5 (2 regularly scheduled, 1-3 “as needed”)
