Library Worker (Summer 2025)

Duties and Responsibilities: Check books in and out, shelve returned books, assist with processing of new materials, and work independently and with librarians on other library tasks and projects. Must be able to lift heavy packages and shift books, as needed. Perform other duties as specified by supervisor. Position reports to Director of Library Services.
Job Qualifications: Basic computer skills, ability to do detailed work neatly and efficiently, able to accept responsibility and work independently.
Employment start/stop dates: May 17, 2025 – August 24, 2025
Working hours and days: Generally Monday through Friday; hours will vary between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Flexible scheduling. Workers may work up to 129 hours per month, which averages to approximately 29 hours per week.
Minimum age for employment: Individual must be at least 16 years of age or older.
Salary: $12.13 per hour
Benefits: Summer workers (student and non-student) are not benefit-eligible. Student workers receive campus and community benefits through their status as students.
