Marty’s Place Student Supervisor (Second Semester 24-25 Academic Year)

Description: A Marty’s Place student supervisor needs to be a responsible individual who will monitor the Centennial Hall basement social space during the hours of operation. Marty’s Place will be open 7 nights a week from 8:00 pm until 1:00 or 2:00 am. The supervisor will work to keep the atmosphere of this student social space comfortable and enjoyable for all users. This includes monitoring user behavior, taking care of furnishings and encouraging student users to do the same, managing equipment, and keeping the space neat and clean (there is an expectation that the supervisor will do some cleaning each night). At times, the supervisor may be asked to help with events and reservations. The supervisor will report to VP Schone and have a cooperative relationship with dorm staff and the security team.

Employment dates: TBD-05/16/2025
Working hours and days: Shifts vary, mostly evening hours, generally 10 hours per week.

Hours of Operation: 8:00 pm to 1:00 am Sunday through Thursday; 8:00 pm to 2:00 am Friday and Saturday
Regular or Occasional: Regular job
Minimum age for employment: Individual must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Student Life policies state: student employees may only have one regular job and may not work more than 19 hours per week.

Salary: $11.13 per hour
Benefits: Student workers are not benefit-eligible, but receive campus and community benefits through their status as students.
