Records Office Student Worker (2025-2026)

Description:  Perform a variety of duties, including data entry, covering the office, closing the office at various times, answering and taking messages from phone calls, scanning, copying, processing graduation audits, processing transcripts, assisting with various projects, and filing. Perform a variety of duties pertaining to assisting incoming freshmen in scheduling their courses – answer and respond to questions from incoming students and parents via the telephone or email-check course schedules. Confidentiality requirements are involved. Conduct other functions as needed or as directed. Position reports to the Registrar.

Job Qualifications: A strong candidate will be someone who has prepared a course schedule using Schedule Planner and possesses the following qualities, skills, and attitudes: knowledge of the MLC curriculum, highly detail-oriented, above-average written and oral communication skills, and ability to work independently.

The minimum age for employment: Individual must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Employment dates:  November 1 – May 15, 2026  (2056-2026 academic year)

Hours:  Generally, Monday through Friday, hours will vary between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Flexible scheduling; 10 to 19 hours per week

Regular or Occasional (for school year): RegularStudent Life policies state: student employees may only have one regular job and may not work more than 19 hours per week.

Salary: Tier 4 — $13.13 per hour
Benefits: Student workers are not benefit-eligible, but receive campus and community benefits through their status as students.
