Direct Support Professional for Youths

Job description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated person to join our team. As a DSP for Youths, you will play a crucial role in supporting kids with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives by providing companionship with daily living and accompanying them to community events.

Starting wage of up to $17.00 per hour, depending on experience and placement, with a raise and bonus available in first 60 days of employment.

Applicants must be able to drive and have their own vehicle for transportation and be willing to transport clients to local events for community inclusion. Shifts are immediately available within the hours of 3:30pm and 8pm and every other weekend between 8am and 8pm. Shift length varying based on placement.

Qualifications:

Strong caregiving skills
Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Basic knowledge of first aid and patient observation
Experience with children with special needs
Willingness to learn and adapt in home and community care settings
Ability to drive and own vehicle for transportation

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Job Type: Part-time after school and weekends
