COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Summer Hebrew Institute is an upper-level course in biblical Hebrew for pastors with a strong interest and ability in Hebrew.

The 2025 course will focus on the rapid reading of 2 Chronicles 21-35 in Hebrew. In these chapters we will read about the idolatry and tragic end of the Southern Kingdom—how Judah degenerated after the death of Jehoshaphat. But we will also read about the remarkable reformations of Hezekiah and Josiah, and the unbelievable repentance of Manasseh, recorded only in 2 Chronicles and not in 2 Kings. Throughout the chapters, we will note features of Late Biblical Hebrew.

For an extra project, each participant will spend some time with an upper-level Hebrew research tool or teaching tool with which he was previously unacquainted.
