Martin Luther College is required by the U.S. Department of Education to provide information related to professional licensure and enrollment in professional licensure programs to students considering enrollment.

One federal regulation for all colleges and universities is to communicate publicly and directly to prospective and current students about academic programs that meet or do not meet the education requirements for specific professional licensure in the student’s home state regardless of the delivery mode of the program.

In addition, the regulation requires that all programs preparing students for occupations reqquiring state licensure ensure that students enrolling, are located in a state or territory for which the program meets requirements.

For the purposes of professional licensure disclosure, Martin Luther College will determine student location based on the Student Location policy.

Martin Luther College’s mission is to train men and women to meet the public ministry needs of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) . . .  To receive an assignment to a WELS school upon graduation, students must be eligible for a Minnesota teaching license. Students enrolling are asked to review the Minnesota Licensure Eligibility Attestation form and confirm their understanding of licensure requirements and assignment eligibility.

Students can review licensure requirements for states other that Minnesota (Out-of-State Teaching License Requirements).
