CAMP LOR-RAY – KIDS’ CAMP JOB OPPORTUNITIES

CAMP LOR-RAY PRINCIPLES AND PURPOSE–“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, NKJV)

By these words recorded in Deuteronomy 6:6-7, we understand God wants us to guide our children every day and in every way. It is to this end that the churches of the Wisconsin and Evangelical Lutheran Synods in the area have established and operate Camp Lor-Ray Kids’ Camp. Therefore, the purpose of Camp Lor-Ray Kids’ Camp is to give the children of the Wisconsin and Evangelical Lutheran Synod churches in our area an opportunity for Bible study, Christian fellowship and fun with Lutheran Christians who believe as they do.

Here at Camp Lor-Ray you will have hands-on experience working with children from grades 1st – 9th, from waterfront activities to crafts or fun games to fill the day. We are also blessed with 3 daily devotional times throughout the day along with two 45min. Bible studies as a whole camp united. The grades we host are broken up into three different weeks. July 5th – 8th is grades 1st-3rd. July 12th – 17th is grades 4th-6th. July 19th – 24th is grades 7th-9th. Be mindful that staff will need presence at camp the day before and after for the week you shall work.

These are the summer positions available: – Camp Manager (must be at least 21)

– Weekly Camp Directors (Pastors, vicars, male teachers, or deacons/staff ministers)

– Bible Leaders (Pastors, vicars, male teachers, or deacons/staff ministers)

– Shooting Sports Instructor (must be at least 18)

– Activity Director (must be at least 18)

– Craft Director (must be at least 18)

– Water Safety Instructor (must be at least 18)

– Adult Counselors (must be at least 18)

– Junior Counselors (must be at least 16)

– Cooks (must be at least 18)

– Kitchen Help (Volunteer position, must be at least 14)

he salary for working at Camp Lor-Ray varies from $250+ depending on how many jobs you take on or how many weeks you work here. Camp Lor-Ray covers all your meals throughout your stay at camp.
