Job Summary

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, teachers, and other support staff.
Provide direct instruction to students using evidence-based teaching strategies and differentiated instruction techniques.
Assess students’ strengths and challenges, use data to inform instructional decisions, and modify teaching approaches as needed.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and supported.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to student learning and development.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and solicit feedback.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and enhance your skills as an educator.
Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education.
Licensure in ASD or ABS is preferred, other areas will be considered.
Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education.
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to: autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and specific learning disabilities.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, administrators and external stakeholders.

Start Date – As agreed upon; 2026-27 School Year

Compensation Package – Position Classification BA-1 offers a starting salary of $52,201 – $88,001 per year, based on experience. Additionally, a benefits package is available that includes health insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, dental insurance, vision insurance, and 403b retirement plan.
