MLC’s effort to build a competency-based education program for returning adult learners received additional grant funding from the Marvin M. Schwan Charitable Foundation.
Under the guidance of the WELS Ministry of Christian Giving, MLC applied for and received $225,000 to support our competency-based education efforts. The grant awarded will support Zoom licenses for faculty teaching in the program, stipends for faculty developing competency-based courses, creating marketing materials to distribute to WELS elementary schools, and hiring a contracted instructional designer to support the development of competency-based courses. The grant will also help offset program staffing costs.
