In addition to his on-campus responsibilities for MLC, VP Jeff Schone serves as a faculty member leading the Biblical History and Literature I, II, and III courses included in the CBTE Minor. He has been integral in designing and improving our CBTE courses. We asked him to answer a few questions about his work at MLC and with CBTE.

Where have you served in your public ministry?

During my vicar year, I spent ¼ of my time as a regular vicar at Riverview Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI. The other ¾ of my time I spent as an OT instructor of 135 freshmen at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Upon seminary graduation, I was assigned to be a pastor at a large WELS congregation, St. Paul Lutheran, in Winneconne, WI. I served there for 5 years. I then accepted the call of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Arlington, MN, and also stayed there 5 years. Next, I accepted the call of Martin Luther College to serve as the vice president of Student Life. Of course, I am still here today.
