College Choir
The Martin Luther College Choir is an advanced auditioned ensemble comprised of students representing all academic programs of the college. Auditions are conducted annually in April for returning students and in August for incoming freshmen seeking membership in the ensemble.
The choir regularly takes part in campus worship services and chapel, while also collaborating with other MLC choral ensembles for a variety of performances throughout the academic year.
Through five rehearsals each week, students prepare a repertoire of sacred choral literature, with particular attention to developing musical artistry, textual expression, and theological depth.
Each academic year, the ensemble shares its music beyond the campus through a brief fall tour and a more extensive spring tour, bringing the message of the Gospel in song to congregations across the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
The mission of the Martin Luther College Choir is to proclaim Christ through the beauty and power of sacred choral music, fostering both excellence in performance and a spirit of service to the church.
