The Serving Christ Scholarship was established in 2022 by Richard and Cynthia Platz of New London, Wisconsin.
They established this scholarship to show their gratitude for all the blessings God has given them and to encourage MLC students to fill volunteer and leadership positions in the church and community.
Serving Christ Scholarship recipients have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate service/leadership skills by their participation in activities for which they do not receive remuneration or course credit. The award is given to four sophomores (two preseminary and two education majors) and is renewable for junior and senior year as long as the GPA and service/leadership criteria are maintained.
