The John and Evelyn Rogotzke Scholarship was established in 2023 to encourage young men and women who desire a Christian education in preparation for gospel ministry.
John and Evelyn farmed in rural Minnesota and were both active in the church and school ministry at Zion Lutheran in Sanborn MN. They knew the importance of training up their six children to hear and share the Word of God. Evelyn continues her involvement with the church by playing the organ and assisting with Sunday school and VBS.
In 3 John 4, the apostle John tells us, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” Growing in faith and working for the Lord is the “truth” that John and Evelyn want for their children, grandchildren, and generations to come.
May future teachers experience this same joy as they begin their work with God’s children.
Scholarship recipients are sophomore, junior, or senior teaching ministry students who demonstrate evangelism qualities or who have evangelism experience.
