This scholarship was established by Glenn Lussky in 2022.
Glenn (1958-2023) and Becky (1959-2018) both greatly valued Christian education. They grew up in called worker families, with either their parents or grandparents serving in the public ministry, and they both attended Lutheran grade schools, high schools, and colleges.
They were avid supporters of their churches’ elementary schools and high schools throughout their lives, and they understood the importance of qualified teachers serving in our Lutheran schools.
Becky taught Spanish at Luther High School in Onalaska, Wisconsin, from 1995 to 2017. She was a tireless teacher and was always developing new resources and refining her craft to better reach her students. God called her home to heaven in 2018.
Glenn served as the manager of the National Weather Service office in La Crosse, Wisconsin, from 1994 to 2017. He was dedicated to the science of meteorology and to serving his staff with humble leadership. He was called to heaven in 2023.
Glenn and Becky were longtime members of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Onalaska, Wisconsin.
