Dr. Elmer C. Kiessling (1895-1981) taught English at Northwestern College-Watertown, Wisconsin, for 46 years, 1927-1973. He married Esther Brockmann on Christmas Day, 1930. He was the author of The Early Sermons of Luther and Their Relation to the Pre-Reformation Sermons (1935, reprinted in 1971), Watertown Remembered, a history of Watertown (1976), and Centennial Memoir, the story of the NWC Alumni Society (1979).
The proceeds from this fund assist young men in preseminary studies at Martin Luther College.
