In 2025 Professor Emeritus Thomas P. Nass established the Confessional Language Endowment Fund in gratitude to God for allowing him to teach Hebrew at Martin Luther College for 30 years.
The purpose of the fund is to encourage the study of the Lutheran confessional languages of Latin and German. This will help ensure that our Lutheran heritage is preserved among the next generations of Lutheran pastors.
Income from this Confessional Language Endowment Fund is transferred annually into the Confessional Language Scholarship and disbursed based on the criteria established for that scholarship. This transfer is intended to provide a steady source of revenue for the annual scholarship.
All are welcome to contribute to this endowment fund. The prayer is that this will be the foundation that provides tuition assistance to confessional language students well into the future.
