Professor Steve Thiesfeldt uses Scripture passages and real-life examples to review the confessional Lutheran worldview before delving into the subtle worldviews of secularism. Included in this inservice is the book What in the World Is Going On? Identifying Hollow and Deceptive Worldviews by Rev. David C. Thompson.

After stating the “purpose of a false worldview is either to prevent one from coming to the truth – to Christ – or to tear one away from him,” the author says, “This may seem overly alarming. But it is not.” For what reasons would he says this?
