Tangos, et cetera
The Summit Avenue Music Series (SAMS) is pleased to return to Chapel of the Christ at Martin Luther College for a fourth season of superlative and distinctive chamber music. The season opens Sunday, September 15, with the accurately dubbed Tangos, et cetera. This concert features a wide variety of memorable works from Clara Schumann, Astor Piazzolla, Amy Beach, Gaspar Cassadó, Marlos Nobre, Joaquín Turina, and J.S. Bach, performed by Soh-Hyun Park Altino (violin), Leonardo Altino (cello), and Bethel Balge (piano). Tickets are available in advance through SummitAvenueMusic.com, or at the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce (1 N Minnesota St). Individual tickets are $15 (general) and $5 (students with ID). Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the day of the concert. Individual and family season passes are available at discounted rates and include the French Connection concert on January 19 and the Cello Treasures concert on April 5.
