Martin Luther College’s highly anticipated Christmas concert will be presented Saturday, December 13, at 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 14, at 4:00 pm in the MLC Chapel of the Christ. The combined choirs of Martin Luther College, the Wind Symphony, and the Hosanna Ringers invite you to join them for this musical celebration of the birth of Christ.
Under the theme For Us and For Our Salvation—drawn from the Nicene Creed and especially fitting as the Christian church commemorates the creed’s 1700th anniversary this year—the program reflects on the profound mystery that the Savior, God from all eternity, took on flesh and became truly human for the redemption of the world. Featured works include J. S. Bach’s Cantata 61 “Savior of the Nations, Come,” David Danner’s radiant choral anthem Arise, Your Light Has Come, and beloved carols and Christmas compositions that highlight the grace and joy that came to us in Christ: “The Son was sent into the world that the world might be saved through him.”
All are welcome as we rejoice in the hope of Advent and celebrate the Christmas message with this cherished campus tradition!
