Citizens of Heaven Grant Program (Source: Martin Luther Elder Care Ministries)
- Who can apply:
- WELS/ELS members enrolled in THE9525 Geriatric and Care Facility Ministry
- Amount: Full tuition
- Student registers for the course with MLC. Martin Luther Elder Care Ministries then sends the tuition grant to MLC. Student does not need to submit an application.
Prison Ministry Scholarship (Source: Special Ministries’ Prison Ministry Fund)

- Who can apply: WELS/ELS members enrolled in THE 9523 Ministry to the Incarcerated
- Amount: 50% of tuition
- When an application is submitted and approved, 50% of the tuition will be deposited in the student’s account at MLC.

CCP Financial Aid (Source: Special Ministries’ Chaplain Certification Fund)
- Who can apply: WELS/ELS members enrolled in the Chaplain Certification Program and certified chaplains taking a class for continuing education
- Student must have already paid for at least one course in full
and does not qualify for other scholarships listed on this page - Amount: 50% of tuition, dependent on funding
- When an application is submitted and approved, 50% of the tuition will be deposited in the student’s account at MLC.

Pastor William K. Hein Chaplaincy Scholarship (Source: Hein Family)
- Who can apply: WELS/ELS member
- Based on need
- Preference to new students and lay people
- Amount: Up to full tuition depending on available funding and number of applicants who qualify
- Upon award, funds will be deposited in the student’s account at MLC.
