DESCRIPTION
This module presents the topic of mandated reporting; specifically, what it is and what it is not as well as how to support a child and family once a report has been made to legal authorities.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Understand what constitutes mandated reporting and the role of an early childhood educator as a mandatory reporter.
- Communicate with children and families in supportive ways.
- Maintain a positive relationship with a child after a report has been filed.
