DESCRIPTION
This module presents the topic of child abuse and neglect. Definitions, research findings related to developmental outcomes, signs of concern, and ways to support children who have been victims will be discussed.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Understand definitions of child abuse and neglect, and research findings related to short-term and long-term outcomes.
- Identify signs of concern of child abuse and neglect.
- Support the positive development of children who have been victims of abuse and neglect.
- Cultivate a quality relationship with children who have been victims of abuse and neglect and their current, safe caregivers.
