Wind Symphony Concert
Please join the MLC Wind Symphony for “The British Invasion!” as we celebrate the influence of British composers on the development of wind band literature. Works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Percy Grainger, Adam Gorb, and Philip Sparke will be featured. Also featured on this program are student conductors studying to be future instrumental music educators. The Divers
MLC will host the Divers on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 7:45 pm in the MLC Auditorium. The Divers have been entertaining audiences with their somewhat hard-to-categorize show for over 20 years. Due to weather this event has been canceled. Minnesota Orchestra principal second violinist Peter McGuire and Richard Belcher, a Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra cellist from New Zealand, will talk about their careers as musicians. Both have toured the world as symphonic performers and as chamber musicians—McGuire as a member of the Tonhalle Orchester Zurich and the Minnesota Orchestra, and Belcher as a member of the Grammy-nominated Enso Quartet.
