Set in New York in 1938, You Can’t Take it With You tells the story of Martin Vanderhof and his quirky family. Their hobbies include firework making, playwriting, and ballet dancing, to name a few. When Alice, a daughter of the family, brings her fiance and his Wall Street parents to dinner, it may spell disaster for their relationship. Through a series of hilarious mishaps and misunderstandings everyone comes to realize that the most important things in life are the only ones that you can take with you.
