The Martin Luther College Wind Symphony will present Foundation: A Sacred Concert for Wind Band on Sunday, February 11, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Christ. Works on the program include Suite from All-Night Vigil (Vespers) by Sergei Rachmaninoff; Festive Adorations by Vaclav Nelhybel; and Between the Two Rivers, a theme and variations of Luther’s great Reformation hymn “A Mighty Fortress.” The concert will feature the regional premiere of Foundation, a new work by David Gillingham based on the hymn tune for “How Firm a Foundation.” Please join us for these and other works as we celebrate God’s glorious gift of music. “It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High!” (Psalm 92:1).
