Music is oftentimes like an old friend who journeys by our side on the road of life. Our friend has the startling ability to alter our mood—possibly because it knows us so well. “For if you want to revive the sad, startle the jovial, encourage the despairing, humble the conceited, pacify the raving, mollify the hate-filled . . . what can you find that is more efficacious than music?” Martin Luther’s description is quite poignant. Music in all its various forms is a gift from God—a balm for our spirit that often accompanies us on our journey. Please join the Martin Luther College Wind Symphony for “The Road Well-Traveled.” Many of the melodies on the program are like well-loved friends. And along the way, you’ll be introduced to newer voices who may very well become fast friends. The concert is Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 pm in the WCC Auditorium. We look forward to seeing you there!
