Wind ensembles of all kinds have enjoyed the privilege of performing music for all types of ceremonies. From the Stadtpfeifer ensembles of 15th-century Germany to the Ceremonial Brass of the United States Air Force, bands have used music to commemorate, celebrate, and memorialize momentous occasions. Please join the MLC Wind Symphony as they present “Fanfares and Flourishes,” a celebration of this wonderful part of the wind band’s heritage. The concert will feature two guest conductors, Alicia Mengel and Bethany Valleau, students in the Instrumental Music Education program at MLC. This experience serves as a capstone project for their conducting studies as a part of the degree. The concert will take place in the WCC Auditorium on Sunday, November 20, at 3:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
