The Martin Luther College Wind Symphony presents “Be Still, My Soul: A Sacred Concert for Wind Band” on Sunday, February 16, at 3:00 pm in Chapel of the Christ. Works on the program will feature several familiar hymn tunes, including “Be Thou My Vision,” setting by David Gillingham; Dies Natalis by Howard Hanson, based on the chorale tune WIE SCHÖN LEUCHTET; and Foundation by Mark Camphouse, featuring “How Firm a Foundation” and the concert namesake, “Be Still, My Soul.” The concert will also feature the combined strength of the MLC Chorale, Mannerchör, and Women’s Choir on Dan Forrest’s In Paradisum.
