Several MLC advanced organ students will present a recital on Thursday, May 9 at 4:30pm.in the Wittenburg Collegiate Center Auditorium on the MLC campus. Selections by a variety of composers are included in the program. The students are taught by Craig Hirschmann and Wayne Wagner. The public is welcome to attend.

SAMS Lecture: “Growing up in Korea and Brazil: A Musical Journey”
Summit Avenue Music Series (SAMS) artists, Soh-Hyun Park Altino (violinist) and Leonardo Altino (cellist), will speak on music education both in America and in their home countries of Korea and Brazil. This event is free and open to the public. The Altinos will perform Tangos et cetera in the season-opening SAMS concert on Sunday, September 15, at 3:00 pm. The Minnesota River Valley Wind Ensemble will perform on Sunday, November 17, at 3:00 pm in the WCC Auditorium. The ensemble is a semi-professional group comprised of faculty, community members, music teachers, music students, and professional musicians.
