This scholarship was established by Jim and Sarah (Zell) Guenther in 2022.
Sarah was a DMLC class of 1973 graduate and served as a WELS teacher and a church musician. Jim served on various boards and committees at his churches and at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, from which four generations of his family graduated.
Jim and Sarah are grateful for MLC and the entire WELS ministerial education system. Four generations of Sarah’s family and many of Jim’s nieces and nephews have been blessed to use this training in their ministries.
This scholarship is a way for them to express their passion for ministry and to share their God-given financial gifts.
Scholarship recipients are MLC students who demonstrate financial need.
