Tuition Freedom Day
On December 7, MLC celebrated its inaugural Tuition Freedom Day. Students pay approximately 50% of the total cost of ministry training. The remainder comes from MLC’s synod subsidy/congregational mission offerings (25%), donor-funded scholarships and grants (15%), and government grants (10%). Tuition Freedom Day is the first day on which the average student has met all financial obligations for the cost of college. To show their appreciation, students signed large thank-you cards that will be displayed at various college events, expressed their thanks on a video soon to be posted on our website, and wrote almost 400 thank-you cards that were mailed to donors.
