Description: World Music Drumming will be a great resource for the music and education divisions. In particular, it will benefit Teaching Music, a methods course for the general music teacher. By forming a drum circle and using African and Caribbean instruments, teachers can engage students in learning about music that is part of African and Latin traditions. Instead of passively learning about music and filling out worksheets, students actively learn the elements of music as they create and make music. Even those with limited keyboard skills can successfully use this program in their classrooms.
