Kyle Bender DMLC ’93 is taking his school leadership to the next level. Though Kyle’s resume is already impressive, his experience in MLC’s new MS in Educational Administration program is giving him new tools he can use immediately in his ministry.

The principal emphasis prepares candidates to meet the WELS principal standards. Leadership courses focus on servant leadership, vision, planning, communication, and relationships. Administration courses develop skills in management, budgeting, school safety, and outreach. Instructional Supervision courses enable the principal to monitor and develop high quality curriculum and instruction. Practical Application is embedded throughout the entire program, but is especially integrated into the research, field project, or internship components.

Interested in Joining the Principal Credential Cohort?
Members of the Principal Credential Cohort
- receive encouragement and support from mentors and other cohort members
- attend at least three leadership training events
- typically enroll in MLC’s MS in Educational Administration program and receive 50% scholarship for their coursework
- and/or demonstrate competence in the WELS Principal Standards
Eligible cohort candidates
- have three or more years of successful teaching experience
- are not currently serving as principal
- possess leadership gifts and characteristics
