SUMMARY:Organ recital - Hirschmann/Wagner
DESCRIPTION:Professor Craig Hirschmann and Professor Emeritus Wayne L. Wagner will present an organ concert on Sunday\, January 16\, 3:00p.m. in the Chapel of the Christ on the Martin Luther College campus in New Ulm. Hirschmann currently teaches courses in the music division at MLC. Wagner also taught in the music division prior to his retirement. \n  \nThe program consists of music written by Nicolaus Bruhns\, Johann Sebastian Bach\, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy\, Felix Alexandre Guilmant\, Louis Vierne\, and Percy Whitlock. \n  \nThe 57-rank pipe organ in the Chapel was built by the Schantz Organ Company of Orrville\, Ohio and installed when the Chapel was completed in 2010. It is believed to be the largest pipe organ in southern Minnesota west of Rochester. \n  \nThe concert is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the lot next to the chapel. \n  \n
