DESCRIPTION: \nFebruary 4\, 7:30 pm\nSummit Avenue Music Series – Bekesh Piano Trio\nChapel of the Christ \nAdmission – $10 adults\, $5 students and children \nThe Bekesh Trio invites you to enjoy some of the most-loved music written for piano trio\, and hopes that you experience the transcendent beauty and inspiration of these great masterpieces. This concert features the newly formed Bekesh Trio\, composed of Grammy-winning violist\, Kenneth Freed; Mankato Symphony Orchestra principal cellist\, Sharon Mautner-Rodgers; and Martin Luther College faculty member\, pianist Dr. Bethel Balge. The performance features trios by Hispanic composers Turina and Piazzolla and by Schumann\, whose stormy d minor trio reflects his bi-polar personality.
