SUMMARY:Wind Symphony Concert
DESCRIPTION:Please join the MLC Wind Symphony as we kick off our concert season with “Wind Band Classics!” Featured music on the program includes Howard Hanson’s Chorale and Alleluia\, Sousa’s The Fairest of the Fair \, and Holst’s Second Suite in F for Military Band . The MLC Wind Symphony is a traditional symphonic band comprised of students from every major and educational track on campus. Its mission is to study and perform representative repertoire for the wind band. Unique to the ensemble is a concerted effort to study sacred music; this concert features a transcription of a setting of the Sanctus by Ola Gjeilo. \n
