The Sound of Music is the story of Maria\, a young nun who is sent to be a governess to the seven Von Trapp children. Captain Von Trapp and his children are captivated by Maria and the joy and music she brings to the family\, but their happy lives are changed forever by the invasion of the Nazis into Austria. DESCRIPTION:MLC offers a Focus on Ministry weekend Thursday – Saturday\, November 4-6. Focus on Ministry weekends are for high school juniors and seniors who would like to learn more about MLC and the public ministry. All sessions run Thursday evening through Saturday morning. These visits offer a firsthand campus experience of classes and campus life. Participants will meet and discuss the public ministry with professors\, pastors\, teachers\, and college students.
