This multi-disciplinary database provides full text for more than 4,500 journals, including full text for more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles.

 

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Library

Margaret Herrick Library Digital Collections is an online database that provides public access to digitized materials from the collections of the Margaret Herrick Library.  Currently, the database contains more than 3000 items, including correspondence, photographs, early release fliers, full issues of rare periodicals, sheet music and movie star ephemera.  The database also includes complete copies of more than 250 Academy publications, dating back to the founding of the organization in 1927.

The Chicago Manual of Style is published in hardcover and online. The Chicago Manual of Style also discusses the parts of a book and the editing process.

Children’s Literature Comprehensive Database

CLCD (Children's Literature Comprehensive Database) is the premier single-source, single-search provider of online information to help educators and librarians find just the right books to meet their educational and collection management requirements. CLCD provides Children's and Young Adult Literature records containing professional reviews of children's books, multimedia and audio books (aggregated from 42 sources). The database provides national, state, and international award entries dating back to 1922. Also included are author illustrator links. HathiTrust

Hathi is the Hindi word for elephant, an animal famed for its long-term memory.

HathiTrust is a collection, (10 million volumes, over 2.7 million of which are public domain), of digital content from research libraries, Google Books project, and Internet Archive digitization initiatives.  It is a  large collaborative repository started in 2008 by thirteen universities with the common goal of preserving cultural collections for use now and in the future.

HathiTrust provides a number of discovery and access services, notably, full-text search across the entire collection.

This source is a rich collection of consumer health information. This resource provides access to nearly 80 full text, consumer health magazines.

This resource provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines.

LISTA (Library, Information Science & Technology)

Margaret Herrick Library Digital Collections

An online database that provides public access to digitized materials from the Library’s collections. Currently, the database contains more than 3,000 items, including correspondence, photographs, early release fliers, full issues of rare periodicals, sheet music and movie star ephemera. The database also includes complete copies of more than 250 Academy publications, dating back to the founding of the organization in 1927, and provides access to significant items including selections from the Alfred Hitchcock papers and the Cecil B. DeMille photographs, as well as the annual Academy Awards programs.

MAS Ultra-School Edition

MAS Ultra - School Edition provides full text from over 460 periodicals covering general reference, health, science, and other areas. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for over 520 magazines. Formats Indexed: Journal articles, book reviews, pamphlets, etc.

MasterFILE Premier

Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 1,750 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also includes nearly 500 full text reference books, full text from 84,774 biographies, 105,786 full text primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 440,207 photos, maps and flags. MEDLINE (OCLC)

A comprehensive database of biomedical literature produced by the National Library of Medicine. Coverage: 1966 - present.

Medpedia

Is a free online resource utilizing the Wiki format to make health and medical information available to everyone. The sponsors include Harvard Medical School, Stanford Medical School, the University of Michigan Medical School, and the University of California-Berkeley School of Public Health. Still in its beta version, many of the articles are incomplete, and many topics are not yet covered. The articles cover all aspects of health and medicine: diseases and conditions, drugs, alternative therapies, and health policy issues. Many articles include color illustrations, line drawings, and videos.

Mental Measurements Yearbook

Includes timely, consumer-oriented test reviews, providing evaluative information to promote and encourage informed test selection.

Middle Search Plus
