Knights Open Conference Season with Sweep
NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 win over Crown to open the UMAC season, beating the Storm by scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-11.
MLC hit a remarkable .405 as a team for the game, committing just five errors while finishing with 39 kills.
Rebecca Engelbrecht led the Knights with 12 kills, while Katelyn Hauf added seven.
MLC had a well-rounded effort, with each player seeing action in the game and contributing statistically.
Mackenzie Krentz led the Knights with 20 assists, while Renee Peters finished with a game-high 15 digs.
With the win, MLC improved to 8-6 overall and 1-0 in league play, while Crown dropped to 2-10 on the season and 0-1 in the UMAC.
MLC will return to the court tomorrow (September 25), when it hosts Northwestern. The match will start at 1 p.m.
