Engelbrecht, Maasz Win UMAC Player of the Week Honors

ST. PAUL - Martin Luther College volleyball players Rebecca Engelbrecht and Miranda Maasz received UMAC Player of the Week honors yet again for their performance last week for the Knights.

Rebecca Engelbrecht received UMAC Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season

Engelbrecht was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 5.0 kills per set with an attack percentage of .316 in two matches. This is the fourth time this season that Engelbrecht received the honor, and she leads the UMAC in kills per set this season at 4.10.

Maasz received UMAC Setter of the Week for the third time this season after averaging 10.3 assists and 1.0 block per set last week. The junior setter currently leads the UMAC in assists per set during conference play at 11.39.

Maasz, Engelbrecht and the Knights host Macalester tonight (Tuesday, October 15), and then return to conference play this weekend with road trips to North Central and Northwestern.
