Women's Track Takes Third at UMAC Outdoor Championships

MORRIS, Minn. – The MLC women’s track team finished third at the UMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Minnesota-Morris Saturday.

Emilee Koltz finished second in the 1500 Meters at the UMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Hannah Hackbarth led the way in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase, taking home ten points for a first place finish with a time of 13:01.02.

Elsewhere in the running events, Emilee Koltz finished second in the 1500 Meter run. Lauren Maertz finished fifth in the 400 Meter Hurdles, while Alex Anthon finished sixth in the 100 Meter Hurdles.

The Knights also did very well in the two relays. The 4 x 400 Meter relay team of Maertz, Lindsay Hughes, Hackbarth and Julie Kent tied for second place and set a new school record with a time of 4:24.65. The 4 x 100 Meter relay team of Stephanie Rockhoff, Maertz, Anthon and Sarah Koelpin finished third.

In the field events, Rockhoff was the top finisher after taking third in the Triple Jump.

MLC finished fourth in the final team standings with a total of 40 points. St. Scholastica finished first with a total of 308 points. For full results, click on the “RESULTS” link above.
