Women Take Two from Cougars

NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC women's tennis team beat UM-Morris twice in a double header Friday by the finals of 5-4 and 5-3.
Meredith Koltz and the Knights swept UMM in a double header
MLC took two out of three doubles matches in both, with the teams of Carol Niemi/Meredith Koltz and Michelle Hintz/Lauren Gross each going 2-0.
In singles, Heidi Heckmann won both of her matches, while Hannah Janke and Koltz each won their matches in the first part of the double header.
MLC moved to 5-5 overall and 5-3 in the UMAC after the double header, while UMM dropped to 3-8 on the season and 3-6 in league play.
MLC will return to the courts Monday, May 2, when it hosts Bethany in a meet scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
