Women's Tennis Loses to BLC

NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC women's tennis team lost 7-2 to Bethany Lutheran Monday evening.


The match started with the Knights taking one of the three doubles matches. The number three team of Mateja Epple and Charis Goelzer won their match 8-2, while the other teams lost by the scores of 8-3 and 8-1.

In singles, Goelzer came away with the only win in six matches. She won her number five match in three sets by the scores of 2-6, 6-3 and 1-0 (10-7).

MLC dropped to 2-11 overall and 2-7 in the UMAC with the loss, while BLC improved to 5-14 on the season and 5-5 in conference play with the win.

The Knights will close the regular season with a match tomorrow (Tuesday, April 30) against Minnesota Morris scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
