MINNEAPOLIS - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team saw its season come to a close with a 9-0 loss to Northwestern in the opening round of the UMAC Tournament held at Baseline Tennis Center.

Charis Goelzer and the Knights lost to UNW in the first round of the UMAC Tournament

The Knights entered the tournament as the fourth seed, while the Eagles were the top seed after sharing the conference regular season title.

UNW took control from the start, winning all three doubles matches by the score of 8-0.

In singles, the Eagles won all six matches in straight sets.

MLC's season ended with a final record of 4-13, while UNW advanced to the championship match against St. Scholastica tomorrow (Saturday, May 3).
