Two Women Reach Finals at UMAC Tournament

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The MLC women's tennis team saw two players reach the finals in singles competition in their flights at the UMAC Tournament held at the Baseline Tennis Center Saturday.

Karina Luthra reached the finals at the UMAC Tournament.

[RESULTS]

Karina Luthra reached the finals in the third flight, winning her semifinal match 6-0 and 6-2 before losing her match in the final 6-2 and 6-1.

In the fifth flight, Hannah Janke reached the finals with a 6-3 and 6-1 win in the semifinals before losing 6-2 and 6-2 in the final round.

Three of the four other MLC players reached the semifinal round before losing in that round.

In team competition, MLC finished third with ten points. St. Scholastica won the competition with 27 points, giving them 15 consecutive UMAC Tournament titles. UM-Morris finished second with 12 points.
